The Crime Prevention Unit is in charge of community outreach programs for the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office. From Neighborhood Watch for the adults to elementary school anti-drug programs, Crime Prevention represents Sheriff Loera and all of the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office.

The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office fingerprints and photographs over 2000 children each year. All information is kept by the parents. This is a free service offered at children’s events, the Mid Winter Fair and Fiesta and various community outreaches.
