The three K-9 officers and their canine partners are an important of the anti-drug efforts in Imperial County. The K-9 officers work as part of multi-agency task forces as well as on patrol in Imperial County.
The Imperial County Sheriff's Underwater Recovery Team, also known as the dive team, ICSURT is a busy unit. Any time a vehicle goes into a canal, or a person is lost in a canal or the Salton Sea, it is the dive team that goes in to rescue or recover.
The Correctional Special Operations Response Team consists of specially trained correction officers who respond to disturbances within the Imperial County Jail facitlities.
